The Rising Sun

An illustrated children’s book about the little ship, Rising Sun, is tossed about in the wild seas and is blown ashore on the Queensland Teewah coast.  She survives cyclones and storms, but holds onto her dream till she finally sails the ocean’s waves again.The story was penned by Eva after the family drove up the North Shore of Queensland’s Teewah Coast in the 1970’s to see the Cherry Venture marooned near the coloured sand cliffs.  The story has been brought to life by the illustrations by Janine Kibblewhite.
