Director Duldig Studio - museum + sculpture garden
The Duldig Studio is seeking a Director with strong entrepreneurial skills to lead and develop the organisation through a phase of expanded, independent sustainability.
This is a Director role for an outstanding leader who is both culturally attuned and business savvy. The Director is responsible for the leadership and management of the Museum and in collaboration with the Museum’s Board sets and executes the on-going strategic vision for the organization. The position is responsible for overseeing the Museum’s budget and financial resources, ensuring financial sustainability through commercial operations and fundraising to increase the resources of the Museum. The Director nurtures and maintains relationships with donors, partners, government, community, the board of management, contract staff, interns, volunteers, members, and other stakeholders maintaining a collegial and inspiring working environment. The position provides leadership and oversight for the education, curatorial and collection management functions of the museum and is responsible for marketing the organisation, and developing its profile to achieve audience growth and engagement. The Director reports directly to the Board of Management through the Chair and supervises the contract staff (Education & Public Programs Coordinator, Curator, Marketing & Administration Assistant) and Volunteers.
The position is to be offered as a renewable annual contract and may be assumed on a part-time and flexible basis with the desirability that it will grow to be a full-time role.
